If you’ve been online for five minutes, you probably must have heard about TikTok. The platform has gained massive popularity in the past years and it continues to grow every day. TikTok is leaning towards younger demographics, so if your target audience is here, you might consider joining TikTok. But beware! In order for your strategy to be successful, you must have creative and engaging content. Keep reading to understand everything you need to know about TikTok.

How does it actually work?

TikTok has an amazing algorithm that shows you videos based on your liking and interest. The app uses artificial intelligence to make personalized recommendations. You can follow creators but even if you are not this doesn’t stop your news feed to continuously show you videos. They play automatically, making it hard for the viewers to stop scrolling.

It’s all fun and games!

TikTok is a platform on which the best way to attract attention is by creating creative, fun, and unique content. The best part about TikTok is that everything and anything can be turned into a meme. It’s very easy to record and edit videos. And there are countless of effects, filters, and transitions that can be used.

#ButHaveYouSeen this challenge?

Hashtag challenges are crucial for the TikTok community. There are always new challenges appearing out of nowhere and they are all about recreating and adding new twists to them. It’s a very easy way to initiate brand awareness and, with the right branded hashtag, to attract new customers.

Paid advertisements

If TikTok is the platform to be on for you, it might also be a good idea to invest some money in paid advertisements. The best way to do this is by either paying for physical advertisements that will play automatically or by making collaborations with influencers and fans. Even though Brand Take Overs are pricey, they are an efficient way to draw customers. This helps brands that want to get more exposure and recognition. Using influencer partnerships is another efficient way to promote your products or services. All about branding

As a brand, you can partner with TikTok in creating 2D or 3D branded lenses for users to try and share. You can also create your original tune, as songs are an important factor in the app. Some brands even collaborate with artists to promote each other and seek reactions from users.

Cross-platform sharing

The beautiful thing about the internet is that nothing stays in one place. In many cases, users share content from one social media platform to another such as Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Instagram. This way you have the chance for your content to be shared through all your platforms without you making this effort.

Be it hashtags, challenges, viral songs, or influencers, all you need for a good marketing strategy to raise awareness of your brand on TikTok is creativity and fun. Success on the app is based on originality and relatability rather than on well-executed professional videos.

Cheers!
